Molson Coors recently began construction of a new brewery in Chilliwack, British Columbia. From the planning phases of the project, Triple R conducted feasibility studies and worked with the tank manufacturer to determine optimal shipping dimensions.
The final tank order included over 50 brewery tanks and associated equipment, with the largest tanks measuring nearly 60 feet long and over 19 feet in diameter.
While some of the cargo was able to be transported directly from the port to the brewery by truck, nearly half of the cargo required a barge and truck solution in which tanks were barged from the port to a barge site close to the brewery and then transported the remainder of the way by truck.
